I'm looking to do some water play indoors at the table and am just looking for some tried and tested inspiration and ideas if anyone has any?

Melting ice cubes. Or getting them to make them the day before with food dye in or bits n pieces and watching them melt.

Depending on their ages add food colouring or paint to water with a squirt of washing up liquid and get them to blow through a straw and place paper over the large bubbles for a 'bubble painting'.

We've washed doll's today, got some sponges and some baby bubbles the children loved it. Played for a good 20 minutes or so then they wrapped the dolls in towels and dried then helped dress them.

Why not? Some nurseries are able to access their resource of a school pool, we access my resource shower room and bath. I'm sure some minders use the big "paddling " pools available. Especially in the summer when they have been outside, hot sticky and sandy. They learn so many skills and have lots of fun.

Washing the dishes, tea set with water in the tea pot. I use trofast trays to put water in and fish, whales crabs etc. Set up a sea side theme in the tuff Tay, water shells sand, people boats.
Different colour water in lots with syringes to squeeze up, squirt out and mix into new colours
Bath the dolls, do the washing.
Make ice lollies.

I bought some of the light up ice cubes that are intended to go in adult drinks. I've been putting them in my daughter's bath but next week I'm going to put them in a water tray with confetti I think. :)

Do you just use food colouring to get different colour water?

Yes that's right

I was at a toddler group the other day and they had little fishing nets and rubber ducks in the water tray, the children loved it! Lots of fun!

Also just seen on fb adding baby bath bubbles, and whisks so they build up more bubbles, add fodder colouring as well.

If I add funnels and measuring jugs then can I cover maths - capacity and what else?
Does it cover psed, c&l,
PD for fine motor skills?
EAD for imagination?
Utw?
