More Information Required from Ofsted

Single registration requirements designed to better enable childcare businesses to grow their provision by removing the requirements to complete a separate registration each time a new setting is registered. The provisions are in the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 and state:

Schedule 2 makes amendments for the purpose of removing the requirements for certain childcare providers to be registered under the Childcare Act 2006 in respect of each premises from which they operate.

The Ofsted Challenge: For Discussion

Is there a way of doing inspection better? Ofsted clearly facing resource challenges and a broad spread of inspection duties but yet has to meet its safeguarding and compliance responsibilities. This is key is to maintain credibility, avoid failings and damage to reputation. Other areas of Ofsted such as social care is under real pressure to improve including repairing its relationship with those they inspect. They could learn from the OBC.

You will need to book for the event so look out for the email with instructions...or check the OBC website for more details.

See you there!
