Hi, I hope someone can help.....
I am currently in the process of setting myself up as a Childminder. I have done the course, forst aid and am waiting for my DBS to come back.
Anyway, I am now a little worried about the Health Declaration. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis which is an autoimmune disease and a form of arthritis. It isnt as bad as it sounds. I do suffer from back pain and it can be bad at times but I do not let it affect working or looking after my 8 month old daughter. Plus I have worked as a waitress in a very busy restaurant for the vast majority of the time I have suffered from back pain.
My question is, does anyone know whether this will affect my chance of becoming a registered childminder?
