This may apply to Cms who employ an assistant

The article does not mention Cms but we are employers too

Interesting article...but I know alarm bells would ring around work life balance, management and responsibilities if a lot of my staff had been of work through stress...I know it's off track about the sick pay issues but a workplace where a lot of people are stressed needs to look at their environment and ensure it isn't the workplace that is causing it!

I found the article very brutal...yes finances are important but also preventing 'mental health' issues and stress in the first place must be top priority for a Leader and Manager....something that could be discussed at 'staff appraisal' maybe?

Stress and depression can be connects but to say work is therapy is a bit too much...so is a lovely walk in a park away from paperwork!!
I found that statement a bit insensitive...what is it like for children to be in an environment were stress is palpable?

With mental health very much talked about we could all do with training on this important issue...Mindfulness and keeping a healthy mind in a healthy body.

I fear it will only get worse unless we prevent it.
