Any advise on which to go for .. Do yo really need to be with either?!

You need public liability insurance, most commonly bought through mm or pacey. The learning alliance also offer public liability insurance for childminders. I'm sure there are others.
It is not the same as home insurance that is a separate matter altogether.

The answer is no.
You can also look at Pre-school Learning Alliance for both m'ship and PLI
Have you searched Independent CMs -Social Enterprise...m'ship and PLI there too.

you can buy your own House insurance anywhere you feel is best for you
