Hi everyone,
I apologise if this has been posted before but where can I get the current EYFS? When I was a childminder previously I had the whole EYFS pack, is it called a framework or curriculum? Anyway where can I get the new one so I can study it before my pre- reg visit and follow it when I start minding?
Also can anyone clarify if I have done everything I need to before my first visit: I have sent off my husband and my DBS forms, have the EYC application form filled out and ready to go when the BDS certificates get back, I have handed my health declaration in to the GP's, I will be registering with and getting my insurance through PACEY, I have written my policies and am doing my risk assessments, I am also booked onto a first aid course in the coming weeks.... is there anything else I need to do?
THANK YOU so much to everyone that takes the time to reply!
xx

EYFS Statutory Framework (http://www.foundationyears.org.uk/eyfs-statutory-framework/)

Also on this site there is a great section called setting up your childcare business which you can use as a checklist.

That is great thank you!

It is worth subscribing to Ofsted News and Foundation Years website....that way you will get any updates straight into your inbox which you can look at in your own time

The only update we are awaiting from Ofsted is the new SEF linked to the Common Inspection Framework
It should be updated any day now! But for now use the October 2013 version.
Good luck!
