I am starting an assistant and have posted the relevant forms today ... does anybody know how long this process is likely to take?? Thank you!!
My assistant did her forms last may, had DBS back in aug and the letter of suitability came at the end of oct. Assistants can work before the suitability letter but must be fully supervised and you must have fully vetted them yourself cos if it comes back they are unsuitable you are liable for taking them on.
