I m up by 6 , My working day starts at 6.30 - first mindees arrive at 7.15 , but first I have to set up for the day - as I haven't got a playroom almost everything gets packed away each evening . Kids bathroom to check , kiddiwash to fill , paint pots ....all the usual setting up tasks..... Final mindee goes home at 6 , then 15 mins or so to pack and pile and revert to 'home' !!

0500 woken by Mrs B going off to her "proper job".

0515 Put coffee on

0530 prep for day, feeling the proper Mary Poppins.

0645 first mindee arrives

0700 had enough, feel more like Cruella de Ville, searching small ads for a "proper job" too. :p

.............. and so on.......................

I am paid to start work at 8, but most of the time one mindee doesn't arrive until 9.15, depending on parents schedule. My other mindee also pays from 8.00 but never arrives until about 9.10 after they have done the school run for older brother. I'm very blessed at the moment, it hasn't always been like that and probably won't be come September when I have to get new mindees. I should finish at 6 but it is more like 6.15, because the one mindee's parents assumed that because they give me an hour free most mornings then they can be a bit creative with pick up time. I didn't have the heart (courage) to tell them that this wasn't the case.

One day a week I work 8am-5.30pm. Two days I do 7.30am-4.30pm, another day I do 9am-4pm. and if I work a Friday it's 9.30am-2.45pm.

I would much prefer an early start than a late finish. From September I won't work any later than 5pm.

Depends on the day as I start at different times - Mon 1100, Tues 0900, Wednesday 1000 (but this week 1145), Thurs 0600, Friday 1000 (this week 1145), Sat 0600 :)

My own children go to school at 0800 - DD1 to school bus in village, DD2 to school breakfast club so I don't have to drive down again at 0845.

Up at 5.45am, have a wash, make myself cup of tea and some breakfast.
6.50am, get my own kids up, make their breakfast
7.30am mindee (2.5yr old) arrives, give him breakfast, have a play.
8.30am take my youngest to school then I go back home with mindee
9-10am Free play with mindee, watch cbeebies.
10-12am Mindee is very tired and will either lie on sofa or sleep in car if we go out for the day.
12-1pm Lunch either at home or a picnic if on a day trip
1-3pm play, activity, day trip.
3-4pm school runs, collect youngest daughter and then mindee's two other brothers from another school (they go to after school club who hold onto them until I arrive)
4-6pm free play, snack, teatime.

I do this Mon, Tue and Wed. Rest of the week I clean other people's houses for 3 or 4 hours in the mornings.

3 days a week it's 7.45am to 5pm, though the kids are very rarely here until 5, the last 2 days they've been picked up at 3.55!

One day it's 11.30am to 4pm and I do not work Friday's.

Also I only work term time.

After the summer holidays it'll go back to 4 days at 7.45 to 5, not sure I'm ready for that lol!

Wow what does mrs b do to be getting up that early?!

Retail.

She moans about her supposed "early starts".

I call that a lie-in. (I used to have a shift that started at 0445.)
