Ive bought a swing set for 100 pounds

Also a car seat for 20.00 pounds

And two toys for 12.00 pounds

All are second hand from people selling things

How can I put these in my account book as I dont have a shop receipt

I believe you write yourself a receipt with any proof you do have attached.

I think this is what they had in mind when they put Microsoft Office templates together. ;)

I print off the ad, plus any conversation I had with regards to my purchasing an item and use that as my receipt

Go to any stationery shop and buy an 'Invoice book'...each invoice page is numbered
When you purchase items for cash from car boot sales or wherever you get no receipt.... just invoice yourself and record it in your accounts ledger

The same goes if you sell your equipment and want to put the money back into your business...invoice yourself

Items bought above a certain value will need to be itemised in your end of year accounts
