Can some please advise me before this website has me bald!! I'm closing down my early yrs side and I'm trying to find out what paperwork I need to keep and how long for? Also what needs to be destroyed in line with data protection? Would appreciate any advice, thanks :)

All confidential child related information has to be kept until the child is 21yrs and 6 months.
Photos etc must be destroyed, with any assessments and LJ's given to parents.
Accounts stuff - nothing to do with Ofsted I know - has to be kept for 6 years as that's how far back HMRC can go back

So far as I know that's pretty much it paperwork wise

All accident related stuff has to be kept for 21 years, incase as an adult the child wants to sue you! M&m insures against future legal action as part of its policy
