View Full Version : Ofsted visit successful but what now?

Hi All,

I have just had my pre-registration visit and had confirmation of acceptance from my local council. What do i do now? Do they guide you along or are you expected to know what to do? I know i need to do my insurance butim worried im going to miss something. Anyone got any tips of advice please :-)

(assuming you are in England) You will get your certificate in the post then you are ready to go!
What support you get depends on your LA- ask your Early Years team what they can offer you?!
Do you know any local CMers? That is the best place to start.

Yes, you'll need PLI insurance now, and subscribe to ICO as a data handler and check your car and house insurance cover CMing.
You might want to join Pacey and use their paperwork and free training.
You might want to get Gold membership on childcare.co.uk to market yourself and to message parents in your area and you get more free training there.
Do you have any mindees lined up? Search on this forum as there have been lots of threads on how to get new business/marketing.
