If you have a business expense and paid on a debit card that only pays for business expenses, can you just use your bank statement as proof if you lose the receipt or is it a case of you just can't claim back any expenses without the receipts?

Anytime you pay by debit card you should be given a receipt ...on that will be your invoice number to enter in your accounts books.
If you lose the receipt your statement will confirm that you did make that payment....you can always do a receipt yourself and cross reference it stating you lost the original receipt.

Yes you can, just keep the statement and highlight what you purchased and put it with your other receipts
