ratios and pre schoolers

hi - a lot of the children I mind are leaving for preschool next sept. The local preschool does full days (e.g 2.5 days rather than half days - well you have the option but my parents will opt for full days as they only work part time and this will save them money) so that leaves me with the problem that virtually all my children will just become after school care but still count as my under 5s. Unless I can get an under 5 mindee that only needs until 3 oclock but even then it would have to be term time only. How can I solve this (or cant I?). Obviously this would be a considerable drop in earnings and no children to mind during the day!?

Unfortunately children that are attending early years settings will take one of your EY spaces until they start school full-time. I do have children under school age that leave at 3 or before so it is possible but you have to ensure that you are in numbers during the holidays.
