I have a 4 and a half year old DS and mindee boy 4 and a half.

They love, cars, trains, all the classic boys toys really. Both love books, diggers, dinosaurs etc.

They also love garden play.

However always remember all children are different, the little boy you have visiting may enjoy other things to my 2.

Dont panic Claire

Boys of that age all like different things so you are going to have to get to know him first to know what he likes

He is not going to be there for long so maybe you could let the children play in the garden - do you have some outdoor toys - balls etc ?

Or if you are sitting indoors then get any boys toys out that you have - cars etc
If you dont have them then get out some books - colouring books - pencils - paper for drawing - jigsaws ?
All the sort of stuff that will keep him occupied for a short period

Remember also that a lot of children are shy when they first come to your house so he might just be happy to sit by his parents

Dont try to hard just be yourself

Good luck let us know how it goes

Depends on how mature he is really... my 5 year old mindee likes football, puzzle books, scooter, sand play, chalk, taking lots of different toys into the tent, reading, small world figures, train track, building things with Lego and Stickle Bricks... that sort of thing.

I had another 5 year old a little while ago who wasn't great at playing by himself and wanted me reading to him the whole time... so it does vary.

Good luck with the interview! :D
