Sorry!!!! Poo talk!

I have an 11 month old mindee that won't stop pooing! Not diarrhoea but it's constant and sometimes a little loose. She will poo four, sometimes five times a day, and that while she's with me (9-5.30 - mon to fri).

I just want a little reassurance that this level of pooing is normal as I've never known a child who poos so much!! In beginning to feel like I'm just her feeding and poo changing machine!?

She's breastfed and eating those pouches like Ella's Kitchen so I expect when she eventually goes onto cow's milk and is eating more firmer food her poos will be less frequent?!?
Honestly though, all mine were breastfed and on mashed food at first and they never had so frequent nappy changes!

Wondering whether I should suggest to mum that we move away from the pouches.

My son is 10.5 months and will do two poos a day at most. Sometimes theae can be looser than others, usually when we have been out and he has had a jar rather than home cooked solids.

We do have some days where it's poo bed to bed but rare and usually coincides with a new tooth etc.

Current 10 month poos about 4 times a day, he's breast feed but when he has a bottle if mothers away his poos reduce. Some babies are like that plus pouches might not agree. Ask mum is this normal for little one x

I have a 20 month old on holiday at the moment - I have really missed him, but not the 4 loose poos each day - so I would say that there is no "normal" - each child is different depending on what food and drink they eat and how their body processes it. I guess that identical twins could eat identical diet but have very different bowel movements.

My ds will poo that much when he eats Ella's kitchen. I always give him one when he ain't gone for a few days. Loosens him right up. There lip smacking bolognaze works the quickest

Is she only eating processed food (and breastmilk?). That could be the cause, I'd recommend ditching the processed food and get onto proper food. I certainly would not want to eat processed food everyday so I am always amazed when people give it to their children :(

Thanks all.

I think mum will give her some proper food at home but dad will give her pouches too. They stink!! I can't stand them! They all smell like cheap n nasty tin soup!
I will suggest to mum that we move away from the pouches and see if that settles the pooing. I'm sure 4/5 times in an 8 hour period is too much. I know she poos for mum/dad before and after she's with me too.
