multiply your weekly mileage x .45p and divide the cost of the number of days in the week you are minding for this family

Well that is quite a journey ...now you can decide how you want to get to an agreement with the parents on this one.
Hopefully you will consider your time and charge for it and then claim mileage and petrol in the usual way via your accounts
