Had 'the pack' from CSSIW which means an inspection is due (next 3 months)... Gulp!!!

Does any of you lovely ladies know exactly what I need? What things are compulsory etc?

Have you done your parent/child feedback questionnaires? Have you done your annual Quality of Care Report? the annual QOC Report is a regulation and if minders haven't done it or are not thinking about doing it then they are giving a requirement to the childminder to complete. If you have been open less than a year think about questionnaires for the parents/ children that you can show the inspector and then your QOC Report will be a feedback on these forms, what you have done over the previous year, improvements, courses & training what you plan to improve over the coming year.

Make sure you have your contracts/child record forms/permissions/ register accessible.

They asked to see my car insurance to ensure it covered childminding.

Certificates for training completed since last inspection, first aid, child protection and food hygiene dates were asked for. Any other CPD you have done.

They looked at a daily diary too
