2 year progress check for new child

I have a 2 year old starting with me in a week's time for one day each week and her 2 year progress check is in 2 weeks time! I will be meeting with the mum to talk about her starting points before she starts and will make notes during her first sessions but I may only have had her for 6 hours before I need to write the report. Obviously I'll do my best but would you write a note to the Health Visitor highlighting that you've only known the child for a short time also?

As I understand it the check needs to be done before child is 3. You have very reasonable grounds to do one in a few months time , giving you some breathing time to get to know the new child work with any previous carers and parents. Iyou could send a short note to h/ v to explain if mum agrees them send report later .
