Hi all, not posted for ages but quick question on behalf of a friend, once children start full time education we no longer have to deliver the eyfs? Is this correct or is it the aug after there 5th birthday?, I thought it had changed to when they started school but this other cm says different, could someone clarify please, many thanks. X

Eyfs requirement 1.3 Wrap around (care offered before and after a school day, e.g. by an after school club or by a childminder) and holiday providers (provision exclusively in the school holidays) should be guided by, but do not necessarily need to meet, all the learning and development requirements. Practitioners should discuss with parents and/or carers (and other practitioners and providers as appropriate) the support they intend to offer, seeking to complement learning in settings in which children spend more time.

So - find out what school and parents want you to do with the child - do it - record it :D

Depends which EYFS you are looking at ...2012 or 2014?
From Sept 2014 no L&D are required for after school care...so no paperwork just help children with reading and home work if you can after discussing with parents
