we were strongly told this every week at our childminder training.

so I've got to ask...

what if you need the loo?

Or to wash your hands after a nappy change?

or to take one child to bed?

They should be in sight or hearing. Preferably both but of course it's not always practical

That's stupid because you leave them alone in bed.

All mine sleep in different rooms so I can't be in three places at once.

How would you follow them all round soft play. They might not be on own but you can't see them every second.

Mine stay in playroom when I use the loo but I could hear them. Its safer and quicker I'm hardly gone 2 secs.

I was led to believe the rule was: in sight and hearing most of the time. Sight or hearing all of the time. In bed not in sight but can hear, soft play not always in sight but can heAr (at my soft play anyway)

Love the pictures! Maybe that's why we should never leave them alone - to protect our sanity not their safety!!
