When a child is due to leave me ( maybe starting school or parent on maternity, or whatever reason) i ask parent if they wouldn't mind writing me a reference so i can show to any new parents who visit me.My last reference was this time last year, as my other child i still have.As it is a year old do you think i could ask current parent for a reference or is that is a bit cheeky?
I have a child due to leave me in July, so perhaps i could ask his mum instead when i see her this week,or wait until July comes and then ask?
I have been having a few visits lately for parents needing from Sept and have just showed then my really good reference from May 2013 plus my inspection report from Dec 2013.
Thanks

I ask current parents for a ref every year so I always have an up todate one. Also means I have their current opinion of me and if they do a runner without paying at least I have something.

That's a really good idea...nice to have a catch up of parents feelings written down on paper!
I send out parent questionnaires to present families which are always a good feedback tool.
