:laughing::laughing: an easy way to get rid of a spider without touching it is to get a glass tumbler and a piece of stiff paper put glass over spider slide the paper underneath lift it all up carry outside put on ground and lift the cup up also works for wasps and bees.

Nah HOOVER lol lol

I don't care about the welfare of spiders, they are creepy horrid things and were put on this earth to torment me.

Spiders really don't bother me. I couldn't touch one with my bare hands, but I'm happy enough to catch it in something and put it outside. I'd never kill one.

They ruin my life. Whenever hubby is going away for work I always pray that a spider doesn't appear when he is gone. I then pray for my husband to have a safe trip. I can't get close enough to them to hoover them up or move them with a cup. I don't swear much but the air turns blue when I see one.

Spiders are good insects and I do try not to kill them. Though if they jump out at me I cant say I always treat them respectfully :laughing:

this thread has made me laugh because im the spider mover in this house. OH wont even sit on the sofa if one has gone underneath lol. I do my best to catch them and put them outside but if they get injured by accident they get flushed.

Spiders eat flies which in my imho is good! A fly buzzing around and hanging about does my head in (no I do not smell lol)

What I try to do if the situation is ok, is grab this little insect cup thing we have. It has a little microscope thing on top so you can view the insect you have caught. Then we look for a suitable place to set them free.

Thing is this weather must be keeping them all outside. When Autumn arrives we get at least one or two scuttling about even after a safety sweep.

I don't mind spiders as long as I can see where they are on my hands or arms. It's when they get past my shoulders that freaks me out. :panic:

I don't really like them when they scuttle across the floor, however I had one on my garage once that was reasonably big, so I started feeding it with fresh cubed beef and over the summer it got bigger and bigger. It eventually died and I found it all curled up, was a bit sad to be fair.
The reason I'm not so unhappy about spiders is because I hate wasps/hornets, was stung by a hornet and ended up in hospital, so anything that can eat them is my mate!

I once found two plastic bowls sellotaped to my daughters bedroom wall.
When I asked her why she said there were two spiders on the wall, so she decided to sellotape the bowls over them to stop them attacking her.

We had to wait for my husband to come home and free the spiders!

Oh so funny and we'll do be to your daughter I could not have put the bowl over for fear they would use their tiny legs to kick it away lol

I like spiders, we used to have a Chillian Rose tarantula that used to sit on my hand. I can't understand why they upset so many people. The mindees are frightened of spiders as well as most insects too
