I have ordered a new shed - this is for the sole purpose of storing car seats, pushchairs, highchairs and any other childminder toys I can cram in there!

It is only a small cheap one but can I just check that I can put the whole amount down as childminding expense? (£130)?

Yes it is for storage but if you gave up childminding you would still have a shed that you could use for other things. I would claim for it but sometimes what we claim for and what we are actually allowed to claim for are different things!

The last time I bought a shed I put the whole cost through that was 10 years ago it has been used solely for childminding and is about to be taken down and replaced as it has now seen better days and leaks. The new shed will also be claimed for as it will be used solely for childminding and if I wasn't childminding I wouldn't need it. We have another shed for family items and in fact some cm things has crept into that as well!
