Ad hoc childcare for school children

Please talk to me about ad hoc care for school children on teacher training days.
I am newly registered and this is the 1st enquiry I have had, please can you give me some advice on contracts, how it would work in terms of ratios, fees to charge etc, it's all new to me, I ideally I would prefer younger ones of a more permanent full time basis but can't afford to turn business away and it might lead to more business.

what age are you talking about? If the child takes up an under 5 place it might not be best to take them when you are looking for more permanent / longer term children...

If the child takes up a 5 - 8 space it's not so bad - but even so if other children come along you might find yourself resenting not having set days / hours...
