How to you all store and organise your creative bits and bobs?
At the moment I have a bag full of pompoms and glitter and ribbon etc which is a mess and I can never find anything.

I have those 'really useful' boxes a bit more expensive than some makes, but they stack, come in a range of sizes and have lids that wont fall off, handy when you want to store things in the loft

I have mine in a set of four plastic drawers. I don't like it too much clutter in the drawers, I would love some new ideas.

I use large yoghurt pots on my window ledge. One for lolly stick, pencils, paintbrushes ect. Have small draw storage for other bits like ribbon, pom poms and glitter..

I have old sweetie boxes, if you have a "traditional" sweet shop near you, or if your School does a tuck shop and gets the sweets at bookers, a fair few come in perfectly sized clear plastic rectangular or square containers with hinged lids! Its the penny sweets, strawberry laces, those kinds. Everything has a separate box, pom poms, ribbons, easter, stickers.....pens and crayons for in well too. They stack and if they get broken it didn't cost me anything! I. Used to use plastic shoe boxes from Sainsburys, they were good but deeper so a bit too big.

I have a wooden drawer thing from ikea with bits in and if several different items in one drawer then they are in individual boxes or bags.

..:-);-) at least ... That's the theory! Usually its all one big mess!

KVITTRA Box with lid - orange/brown, 15x15x15 cm - IKEA (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00240095/)

BILLY Bookcase - white, 40x28x202 cm - IKEA (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40085714/)

Wilko Rush 4 Drawer Unit Natural at wilko.com (http://www.wilko.com/bathroom-cupboards+storage/wilko-rush-4-drawer-unit-natural/invt/0310527?VBMST=Wilko%20Storage%20Unit%204%20Drawer% 20Assorted)

HEMNES Bureau - black-brown - IKEA (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10245709/)

My system: not designed , evolved....

The bureau was a bureau, writing top ( plus DH model making station, amongst his family) and drinks cabinet under....now every day craft on top and toy storage in cupboard, drinks.....abandoned!!!

Ikea slim Billy for a number of years had stored CD / computer disks ....now with lovely coloured boxes and a space for small label, houses pom poms, lolly sticks, pipe cleaners, scissors etc... Boxes can be turned around so labels don't show at weekends.

The sea grass unit is home to easy self selection craft drawers for children. Used to be in bathroom...

Same units that my dining room has had for family based activity for years....now have different roles in my childminder business!

But, when friends come round for dinner, they don't realise that the storage in the dining room is now CMinding focussed!

Hall cupboard, office/ music room and loft for bigger craft items.... 4 months in to CMing and I just want to convert my house to a nursery! Yet 6 months ago, my home was going to be 'home based childcare' ....easy converted back for the 4 days I do not child mind!!!!

I constantly think of ways to subtly be a CM, easy to convert to my home.... But feel it is a losing battle and wonder that I shouldn't develop business and forget consulting and retirement!

Is there an easy answer to the craft problem?
