Having a moment, please help!

The % of water rates etc that we can claim is dependent on how many hours we work in a week. My weekly hours have varied hugely across the financial year, sometimes down to the contracts, sometimes because of holidays and or sickness.

So, can I work out the total hours I worked in the year, divide by 52 and apply that as my %? Or will I be loosing out or claiming too much??

My poor brain is so tied up in knots!!!

That's how I do mine. No working out percentages for each week or month I just keep a running total of number of hours worked each week and calculate at the end of the year :-)

That's what I do ..
But work from contracted hours ( unless worked lots of hours over! )

Loocyloo, I thought we had to use actual hours! I'd love it if we could use contracted, I hate working out my daily hours!!!

I've always used contracted hours as I usually work those and if that's what I'm being paid for.

I only change it if I work an extra day or something long term.

I guess I shouldn't complain, im lucky that they often drop late and collect earlier than contracted, and as I only have two max each day that often means I don't work my contracted hours but still get paid!
