I'm redecorating my play room - as its a disgrace :) repainting walls and papering one and also buying a foldable table for elder kids to craft on and eat at. What if these can I claim?

Don't forget the labour if you are paying someone the paint brushes wall paper paste etc....

Agree I believe if it's only used for childminding. If not work out a percentage of how much it's used for childminding and how much your own family

Regarding the room decorating, I believe that is counted as wear and tear, which you will/should have already knocked off your total income (10%)
The table, I would claim the full amount as AIA (Annual Investment Allowance). There is a maximum amount allowed for this, can't remember how much it is, but I'm sure there'll be a document in files that confirms it
