I

I am in the process of becoming a childminder and I am currently being made redundant from my job.

My current employer is offering £850+vat for retraining.

Does anyone have any recommended course which would be beneficial?

I have already completed CYPOP 5, safeguarding and food safety.

Thanks

have you also completed your first aid? I would suggest you wait until you have been working for a little while before you start your level 3.

I plan on doing that funded through work but that's only £115.

I want to make the most of the £850 on offer.

What about domestic violence, SEN, more advanced safeguarding, food hygiene, child development play and learning, inclusion, working with parents/carers x

you could see if you could start your level 3 if you can do it without working in a childcare placement (you might be able to start it at least) but otherwise I'd go for useful specific short courses.

outdoor play/learning - forest school if your 850 stretches far enough
