Hi all,
im on task 8 and have no idea what they expecting me to do, could someone please assist:
this is the question:
Provide an explanation of the concept of safeguarding and the duty of care that applies to all practitioners
Complete the table provided (Task 8 – Signs and Symptoms Template) describing the following possible:
Signs
Symptoms
Indicators
Behaviours
that may cause concern in the context of safeguarding

6.1 Explain the concept of safeguarding and the duty of care that applies to all practitioners.

6.2 Outline the possible signs, symptoms, indicators and behaviours that may cause concern in the context of safeguarding.

Hi,

So template -

Signs - what you can physically see

Symptoms - what a child tells you they feeling so - sore, tummy ache, etc. Symptoms are what it felt by each individual.

Behaviour - so things like crying, withdrawn, aggression etc.

Indicator - I think this is what would make you feel it is child abuse as not all signs indicate abuse - so indicators like parents not seeking medical attention when child injurys self/unexplained history of bruising etc.

The first question - look back at your Safeguarding policy and use that.
