The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) says a deregulation strategy would push down childcare costs to Europe levels or below...

This is interesting

The cost of complying with burdensome regulations, the high inspection and licensing costs faced by childcare providers, the high degree of formalisation and the mandatory staff-to-children ratios push up the price of what should be a relatively straightforward product

Isn't this govt doing just that by deregulating some aspects of childcare while increasing regulation under Ofsted?

what are your thoughts?

As if! Who wants a house full of kids trashing your home for an even lower wage?
