Can I use a diary for visitors and times?

Is it acceptable to use my dairy to make notes of when children are dropped and picked up, and also any visitors that might come to the house? I don't really want a visitors book as such if I can help it (don't get many!) so wondered if I can just jot it in my diary.

I use my diary to put in visitors in and out. I also put children's times in there but I have a register too - just in case I misplace one:rolleyes:
