Is this for the EYT in September this year?

I have been considering it but not got a great deal of info on it.

Hi I had final interview, setting tour and observation of practise on 30th of jan the assessor said she wasn't allowed to tell me outcome but not to worry, hearing anytime soon , I had to be out of numbers for whole of the time assessor was here so had to manufacture a day where 3 children came for 1 hr 45 mins so they could be in assistants numbers , the kids were perfect and dh assistant and my mother assistant weren't too bad either ! Fingers and toes crossed good luck

When I did EYPS last year my assessor came later in the day, as last child went home at 5pm and then we had a final 45 minutes without children.

I had the same issue and managed to get one of my mum's to do the witness interview and stay during the assessment so her LO wasn't really under my care but they could still observe me with him. I only really needed to be out of numbers whilst doing my interview the rest of the time the children tagged along in terms of the tour and of course the observation of practice and my assessor said it can actually be quite helpful as it allows them opportunities to see your interactions with the children and how you deal with different situations. Good luck.

early years teacher status

thanks my tutor said it had to be an Ofsted registered person. not sure if one of the mums would stay as they have to rush to work, most of mine are shift workers and don't hang around!

Mine was on the 11th and sounds like all should be fine. I wasn't told I couldn't be included in numbers, which is just as well as it is just me! I managed it by messing the morning/afternoon option up and going for a bit of both!!! She interviewed me whilst the baby was sleeping. My witness was a parent (who is a teacher) who came at her normal time and then too off her son afterwards. Pretty much worked, was a long day though!

Mrs Robbie Williams, it is entirely optional, drink wine and don't worry!!!!

I had my DPR today, it went well, although it still seems a mounatin to climb as I am doing my UPP route and i'm up to my eyes in it with my dissertation. Can't wait till July when it will be all over, jealous of those who are completing now, I'm in a preschool at the moment, so don't need to worry about cover luckily. Good luck

Hi All

I need some further advice on the EYITT please. I have received an email today to apply as application round is open. No idea where to start yet with the personal statement!! I will (I WILL she says!) complete my FDEY in June, so I would need to top up to BA alongside the EYITT.

I have just finished work in a Nursery and will obviously be childminding. Can childminders still apply? (sorry if it a daft question) Or is it best to working in a setting? When I expressed my interst I was thinking I would be in pre school setting. My employer had left the door open for me, so I could do the odd day or afternoon if needed.

Thanks in advance
