When is a child no longer classed as in the 5-8 years and no longer included in your numbers? When they actually become 8... or when they are 9?

Is it that the 5-8 is from 5 years and during the time they are 8?

Daft question I know, but I just want to check. My son was 8 in Dec and there is a day I have been asked to do, but it means for 50 minutes I will have 7 children, 2 of which are 8, one was 8 in Oct, and then my son... then I will also have 5yr old, then 3yr old, 19mth old and 14mth old.

When they turn 8 they are classed as "over 8" not "5-8"

No that's a good question actually I've always thought when they were 8 they were out of your numbers as it's always worded 'up to the age of 8' which would mean when 8 they are not counted.

I'm watching this thread with interest! X

Once they are 8 I've always counted them out of my numbers (except for insurance) Have I been doing it wrong all these years?:(

You have been doing it right- 8s are over 8.

I think every CM I know counts them as an over 8 from their 8th birthday. I always have, mind you I haven't got enough mindees for it to make a difference to me at the moment :-(
