Hi I've finally got my certificate through and have a child starting on tuesday she will be 6 in October and has just finished in Reception class, I will be having her only 2 days a week during the holidays. Should I be doing the eyfs on her or is she too old.
eyfs is done on children up until the end of their reception year, so you don't have to do it on a 6 year old :)
Good luck with your first mindee though :D

Mrs B is right ... you only do the observation, assessment and planning from eyfs on children until the end of reception year.
But... if you read 'are you ready for your inspection' from Ofsted, you will see it covers all children from birth to 17 years and much of what it says is within the eyfs... worth reading and getting to grips with as it does talk in eyfs terms for all age groups...
