Hi I just wanted to ask what paperwork other childminders have as I have only just started as a childminder having worked in a nursery and am a little confused at what paperwork is compulsory and what is just good practice. I have-
Monthly Risk Assessments
Outing Risk Assessments
Permission Slips
Observation Journal
Daily Communication Book for parents/carers
Folder of Policies/Procedures
I am currently doing a weekly planning sheet

Is there anything else I should be doing as I will soon be having my inspection and very nervous to say the least. Many thanks

This is a good thread - it covers a lot of 'must' and 'should' have paperwork.

You will find it grows over time - don't try and do it all at once! :D
