Celebrations though the year....

Hi,
I saw on here recently that it was National Nursery Rhyme week. I know it was also National Road Safety week amongst others throughout the year. My question is how do you know these things/weeks are on? Is there a website I can check and pick out the ones that I want to take part in? I have tried searching for Celebrations and Festival and that gives me all the main ones like Chinese New Year, Valentines etc but I want the ones that run for a few days and that are slightly different. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
