National care standards .

Iam from Scotland and filling out my form to be sent away today. I have come across this q and not sure what I should write ... The national care standards state that all services should evaluate their service and this should involve service users and carers . How will I evaluate the service ?

I am not in Scotland (Wales) but we have a similar standard and I send out regular questionnaires to parents to evaluate the service. I also have a simple form for children to say what they like/don't like. I then evaluate the setting from these and make a report on where I can go. I also chat to parents and get their opinions informally.

I constantly evaluate the setting, activities, equipment, my training (CPD - continuous Professional Development) etc to improve my service.
