My DD (2 and 3/4) has just discovered the joys of sellotape(!). She is also fiercely independent and I can't figure out a way to enable her to use sellotape without help. We've tried various methods, including me putting strips out for her (lasts all of 10 seconds). Does anyone have any ideas? She has scissors that she can use but it's the getting the tape off the roll that is tricky. TIA.

I give masking tape to this age as ey find it easier to peel and cut it off.

See, that's why I love this forum! Thanks, both!

Masking tape - why didn't I think of that?

Dispenser - oh yeah, that would help, the one we have is rubbish. Great, an excuse to buy more stationery!

I was going to suggest a dispenser or masking tape. The advantage of masking tape is that it can be ripped and doesn't have to be cut.
