Hi

School closed due to strike and I have a total of 7 today!!!!!! Really wanted to get out with them and it is raining. I know we are supposed to just carry on with our plans despite the weather but a picnic in the rain does not appeal to me.

What is the weather like where you are?

Morning Christine.

I don't envy you, 7 children and it's raining too :panic:

No strike here so children are still at school, no rain either.

We often have an indoor picnic when the weathers bad but hopefully the rain will stop for you

Good luck for today

Its pouring here too. The strike hasnt affected the school, just our :censored: bin collection. I was so good this week and managed to get the lid to shut after our first 2 week collection and now I dont know what is supposed to happen because I cant wait another 2 weeks  Luckily the recycling was collected because the food caddy is disgusting. :panic:

Hi Miffy
You will be alright, it is a 2 day strike yesterday and today so if your school was open yesterday then it will be today. Went to Rufford yesterday and had a great time but only had 6 yesterday and weather was ok.

Oh it is raining even faster now, hope the library is open (they too are affected by UNISON strike)

I went to the Retford one a few weeks ago - due to go on holiday Saturday so thought I might be busy today and surprise surprise I am busy today with 7 kids and a son who needs picking up from Chesterfield station as soon as I have finished work, why is it that he can travel from country to country no problem but cannot catch a bus from Chesterfield to Mansfield? I know I am soft with him but he is only with us for a few weeks and that is going so fast.

Have fun tonight!!!!

Well nearly survived the day. All quiet and calm now. Two little ones fast asleep and older ones now watching TV. One of the little ones did a wee earlier under table on carpet so I quickly cleaned with carpet cleaner which tripped the electric so I had to go in garage and switch back on, had parked car too close to garage door so had to move back so I could get in (still raining of course) and then I dropped lurpak spreadable on kitchen floor top came off and well you can guess the mess.
Only minding before school tomorrow then off for 2 weeks alleluyah!!!! Boy am I ready for a break.

I can't even imagine having 7 children at one time!

I think you are all so amazing! I'm rubbish! I have plumped for just having my 3 year old and one 10mth old full-timer - I can't handle anymore than that. I had the opportunity for a b4 and after schooler yesterday and turned it down! Ha ha! I'm so pathetic and weak! You're all so fabulous - it's not fair!
