Received text messages from school at 8.30. Closed tomorrow due to gas leak . Getting texts from parents wanting childcare. I am supposed to have dentist appointment at 9.15 no way i can go with 5 children. Left message hope i won't get charged cancellation fee.

Think i'd rather look after 5 children than go to the dentist :eeeek:

I'm not sure, I've had a few that would make me choose the dentist instead! Looks like you're in for a busy day

oh no - I hope you don't get charged - its surely acceptable to cancel in an emergency situation and surely this counts? Hope you have a good day.

I did not get charged and have rebooked another appointment. School still closed tomorrow Im not sure about what to do about childcare fees now . One of my before and after is not coming at all tomorrow im debating on should i charge her or not as i have gained extra hours from her today as i had her all day. Her contract states term time only. The advantage i have tomorrow is that after 3pm i will just have my own two boys

Birmingham they did try to put extra temporary heaters but they overloaded the main fuse and tripped the electrics out in the whole school.
