Where to log it?

When I have a meeting with parents to show them learning journals and planning, where should I log this and any comments they've made?

I have a page in front of learning journal that has 3 sections on it -

1st is "I have taken my child's learning journal home" with a space for date and any comments
2nd is "I have taken home my child's photo CD to view" (the CD is in a case at front of journal and says that they must not electronically share any group photos). date and comments
3rd is "I have had a meeting with my childminder to discuss my child's 2 year development report, received a copy of it and have shared it with my Health visitor" space for date and any comments made by parents and/or health visitor.

At the back of my LJs I write a brief summative assessment each term, under the heading of the 7 aspects of learning and development, plus characteristics of effective learning. I talk over this with parents (or send a copy home if they're too busy to meet) and parent signs and dates it. :thumbsup:

Is it necessary to sign and date every meeting?

It's paperwork overload!
