I have s mum who comes 1 day to me and 1dsy at nursery. She is did to have new baby soon. Her boy is 3 in July but her nursery says they can't give funded place until 3 1/2. Nog just for this boy but for all children. Has anyone else heard this?

All children are entitled to either 15 hrs a week term time only or 11 hours a week (stretched hrs) all year round starting from the term after their 3rd birthday.... so all according when their birthday is to how old they are. This little boy will be eligable in Sept.

Yep-eligable in sept. And he'll only get 1 years funding in pre-school too being a 'late' baby. He needs to be able to access it as soon as he can! Can you offer funding for the family to at least cover his minded hours?
Trouble with nurseries is that if they are private they can pretty much dictate how and when they'll take the funding, if at all.
Can you offer funding for the family to at least cover his minded hours?
Thats what i'd do offer the funding myself along with the extra day too if they wanted it :)
