Found this on the BBC website: BBC News - Spanish slug invasion: Scientists seek public's help (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-24497083)

Slugwatch website: SlugWatch (http://www.slugwatch.co.uk/)

Our gardens are full of these horrible things so I have downloaded and laminated the identification and anatomy guide.

We have just returned after spending an hour outside having a great time finding them and working out what they are. Its so hard in the dark with torches!

My kids (11 and 8) were very sceptical at the beginning and at the end I had to drag them back indoors. I haven't had this much fun in ages!

Yes we did find the Spanish slugs - 7 of them!

Guess what we are doing tomorrow night with 3yo mindee!

Nina :)

I'm so up for this! How cool! I hate the beastly things, they eat all my plants, but to give them an educational use and learn about them, well I may even come to like them!

Yay!! This is right up my street!
Can add it to the hundreds of other ID sheets in my file.
DD2 and I have just joined up to identify long forgotten Orchards and their fruit - can't wait, can combine the two.

My house is slug central I think! I got up at 4am the other day and found 14 of the little blighters on our lounge floor. All the houses on our street struggle with them. Yucky things!

He he, mine are MASSIVE! Best count was only ten though! It's the not being able to come down in bare feet that winds me up, well that and the germs they must be spreading!
