This maybe an odd question but let me set the scene......

I am planning on becoming a registered childminder. Currently I am on mat leave with my current employer and claim the full childcare voucher through them which I pay towards my son's pre school fees. However my plan soon is to deduct his hours so that he only goes to pre school for the free 15hrs that the government give. The £243 I then get from my employer as a childcare voucher will then sit in my childcare voucher account so I will end up getting a year's worth of vouchers as a credit. Now here comes the question. Could I in theory use that credit to pay myself once I am a registered childminder even if I am looking after my own child?

I hope that makes sense....? I'm going to guess the answer is no as it seems far too easy to me.......

Thanks

Claire
