I only started minding last week and need a toddler car seat but don't want/can't afford to spend a fortune. I've seen kiddicare have some for £35 which would be perfect but I'm obviously conscious I need to make sure it's safe! Do all car seats sold in the UK have to confirm to certain safety standards or is it up to me to double check that the one I buy does? Sorry if this is a dopey question to ask but I thought it best to check! x

Best I've seen is the Britax prince. £20 more expensive but quick and easy to fit and feel very safe.

Because of some of my seats no longer meeting the updated ECE regulations I bought two of the black kiddicare ones which were £34.99 I must admit I am impressed with them and very happy. I have no issues and very easy to change between the 5 point harness to the seat belt fitting for older ones.
