Afternoon all,

Yet another numbers query!! I know I can have 4 children in the Early Years for continuity of care, but I would have 2 of that 4 under 12 months for approx 5 weeks 3 days a week. One child would be 9 months and the other 11. Do you think this would be allowed? Obviously I would do RA's and speak to all parents.
I currently look after 4 one day a week so I know I can do it, it's just the age thing that may be a problem.
Thanks for any advice.

Do you mind either of them now. As long adirs continuity of care, they are siblings to already minded children, then I think you can. As long as you RA etc as you said

Yes you can for continuity or siblings - but you would have to be very careful how you document it to make sure you cover every eventuality in your RA and show how all the children's needs - learning etc are being met.

Have you got a copy of this? It might help - Changes to Conditions of Registration (http://www.childmindinghelp.co.uk/freeresources/Free%20downloads/changestoconditionsofregistration.html)
