Quite interesting for those that dont want to do a degree - Im wondering if it will allow us to get a higher level for funded 3 and 4 year olds as well.

Slightly worrying point in the smallprint that they have thought ahead to add this...

Childminders often find progression difficult
to achieve. There is no higher qualification
on the QCF which is specifically designed
for them. Qualifications such as the City &
Guilds Level 5 Diploma in Leadership require
candidates to demonstrate competences in
leading, inspiring or co-ordinating the work of
others and are thus beyond the reach of many
childminders, unless they employ staff or work
as part of a childminding agency or network

Yes I wondered why that got thrown in?
Like many cms I have a Foundation Degree where you have to cover Leadership and Management in depth...did me no harm not being in a network, nor do I employ staff or belong to an agency!!!
