Just wanting a bit of advice. If you are unwell, only a cold, but feeling rough, would you inform the parents that you are unwell but still open, giving them the option to whether they bring their child or not. And if they didn't would you still charge
Only asking as I feel really rough today, but I haven't got my 7 or 13 month old only a 3 year old for 3 1/2 hours so I can cope

Normally I wouldn't if it's a cold, but you just have this one child for a few hours. If lo didn't come today you could have the whole day in bed so in this situation I would

Hope you feel better soon xx

I've had a cold, sore throat and cough all week (so have 2 of my mummies).

Told them I felt ill but was happy to keep working.

If I closed every time i had a cold or sent children home with colds I wouldnt earn enough money to keep going.

I only close if I'm too ill to get out of bed.

If we're open we charge - but not if we're not :)

I've been rough since last thursday with cough and cold, aches and tiredness. I've carried on working, as we do! The parents still send the kids when they are all snotty and spend all day coughing and sneezing on me so its probably their fault I'm poorly anyway! At least I can use a tissue and know its not nice to sneeze in peoples faces!!!!

I wasn't thinking of closing ! Just wondered if anyone else pre warned parents so they were aware of it. Some parents, especially with young babies try to avoid taking them near people with coughs and colds, and I know that have to build up there immune system
In 23 years of being a parent I've only had to stay in bed 1 day so a cold certainly won't stop me from working

Guess then I would send a text or make quick call to say i'm open, although to be honest if I gave parents option of not bringing children then i wouldnt feel comfortable charging if they didnt come. But then we are all different
