Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone does child minding away from their home??
Child care (minding?) on domestic premises?
Just looking at all the options ... Thinking it may be better/easier than doing in your own house?
What do you all think?
And where does the lie draw with it being a child minders and being a nursery??

Thanks all xx

I only know 1 couple that does it from a different premises. I thought that was what childminding was.

Its not a childminders if they don't live on the premises (or at least an assistant doesn't). It's not a childminders if you have more than 2 staff. This is what I know don't know if there's more

If you buy/rent a property for a business it would cease to be a domestic property, you would be probably liable for planning permission for change of use or at least a certififcate of lawful use. You would then be liable to pay business rates, business rates for utilities, phone etc and possibly for paying for waste collections and hazardous waste collection for nappies.

There is nothing easier than minding from your own house:thumbsup:
