I just read on a fb group that ofsted told someone you can have mindees sharing bedrooms with your own children. Is that right?
Ive always thought you had to have a separate room for them??

I would suggest you ring them and double check - I've always understood they need their own rooms but that is old information :D

I rang them as I have a 12 year old staying overnight soon. They said she could choose wether to have her own room or to share with my 13 year old dd. they are friends from school.

Only thought it was foster children that had to have own rooms not chikdminded.
I've never been told sharing rooms was a problem.

On my first ofsted inspection she said that if your happy and your child is happy to share why not children are more happy to be with others and always like a sleep over, this was in July x

Mindee used to regularly share with my daughter - I used to put up a camp bed in her room. Ofsted more than happy - they have to have their own bed and own bedding and towel.

My mindees share with DD as well when they sleep over! I say sleep in the loosest term because they hardly get any!!!! All three are very close and would cause more problems not sharing than sharing I think! Ofsted were fine with this as all had their own bedding and towels.
